Fuller has been working with photography since age 13 when he and his buddies began making Super 8mm films. After taking photography and darkroom courses at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, he expanded his photography skills by working as chief photographer for The News Reporter newspaper in his hometown of Whiteville. In 1989, he and wife Janet opened Fuller Royal Photography, In 1991, he left The News Reporter to operate his studio full-time. Since 1989, Fuller has completed more than 7,000 portrait sessions and assignments. He has been back at The News Reporter since 2000, but still operates his portable studio. He can bring his entire studio to your home or the location of your choice. A member of the Professional Photographers of North Carolina since 1990, he received his Fellowship Degree from that group in 1996. A member of the Professional Photographers of America since 1991, he earned his PPA Master of Photography Degree in 1999 and his Photographic Craftsman degree in 2000. Today, Fuller is sought out not only as a photographer and a writer, but also as a teacher. A two-time instructor at PPNC’s East Coast School, he has taught scores of classes in a studio setting and has spoken at PPNC conventions and seminars for the past two decades.
